The award winning film depicts a fictional monk whose strange behavior perplexes the monks around him and whose spiritual gifts draw others to the island for healing and advice even as he seeks forgiveness for his past.The film was praised by Patriarch Alexei II for its depiction of the Orthodox spiritual life.

 

The event costs $5 unless you are a member of the library’s Lifelong Learning Institute or a student of Rollins College. Discounts are offered for those over 60. The doors open at 6:20pm with a film short at 6:30 p.m the event will last until roughly 10pm.  You can learn more about the event here and here.
